The former president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan wishes Muslims well as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha literally means ‘festival of the sacrifice’ in Arabic, and it marks end of the yearly Hajj pilgrimage.

The ex president in a tweet via his official twitter handle wishes “the entire Muslim Ummah a blessed Eid Al-Adha”.

He continued “May the divine blessings of Allah bring you hope, faith and joy, and may He accept your sacrifices as an act of Ibadah”.
