COVID 19: Reasons for Abba Kyari’s death and the plans for his body

The Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Mallam Abba Kyari, has died of the dreaded Coronavirus and his body received.

Recall that late Abba Kyari had tested positive to the killer disease in March after his return from overseas.

A medical report of late Chief Kyari from Wellington Hospital, St John’s Wood, in North London disclosed that he (Kyari) was suffering from other ailments that could hamper his rate of recovery from COVID-19.

Late Kyari died on Friday 17th April 2020 at the age of 81.

Confirming his death, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, announced the death of the Chief of Staff.

“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”

In a latest tweet, Garba Shehu disclosed that Abba Kyari’s body has been received stating that the burial will be private in line with the NCDC stipulated guidelines for burial of Coronavirus victims.
