Coronavirus: Nigerian Students invent device to combat the spread of COVID 19 [Video]

Nigerian students, Ifeanyi Chukwu Henry and Isaac Edmond of the Federal University of Science and Technology Owerri (FUTO) Imo state Nigeria have invented a device that can stop the spread of Coronavirus.

According to the two Electrical Engineering students of FUTO, the name of the Device is “Centinel”, and its built to help combat the alarming rate with which Coronavirus is spreading.

Since its first discovery in Wuham city of China in December 2019, the deadly Coronavirus has spread like wildfire across the globe affecting 210 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances with over 2.3million reported cases and over 160k deaths.

Explaining how the device which is worn on the wrist works, the two inventors stated that the device can automatically sanitize the hands and alert the paramedics of a suspected COVID 19 case.

He said: “It’s been proven by psychologists that it was hard-coded in to human DNA to actually touch his face at least 300 times a day and the device was built to remind you not to touch your face…

“Secondly, the device also contain sanitizer and it secrets those sanitizers like your skin secrets sweat.

“You don’t have to touch your pocket or walk around with Sanitizers.

Ifeanyi and Isaac finally pleaded for the support of the general public so that they can make the device better and ready to use.
