Nigerian comedian and actor has sent congratulatory message to the Super Eagle for their performance in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Super Eagles lost 2:1 in a semifinal encounter with Algeria after Riyad Mahrez sent a destructive thunderbolt free-kick to the Super Eagle’s goal post beating the goal keeper seconds to the end of stoppage time to push the Desert Foxes into the last battle with Senegal.
Algeria took the lead in the first half of the game after William Troost-Ekong unwittingly pushed the ball into Nigeria goal post. Thanks to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) that awarded Nigeria a penalty kick which was gracefully converted to a goal before the free kick that dashed the hope of the three times AFCON champions.
Reacting to the lost, Okey Bakassi expressed his displeasure to the Super Eagles goalkeeper blaming the lost on him.
He jokingly said that a “tokunbo” goalkeeper will be better.
