AFCON 2019 – Nigeria sends Cameroon home

The prayers and wishes of sports loving Nigerians and other Super Eagles supporters across the globe for the Eagles to emerge victorious in today’s encounter were not in vain they ended the AFCON journey for their Cameroonian counterparts.

Prior to the match, well-meaning Nigerians including the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election in the country, Atiku Abubakar, displayed their support for the Eagles and asked them to make the country proud.

Armed with the support and the mastery of the game with the unique strategies of the coach, Rohr, the Super Eagles of Nigeria this evening crashed the high hopes of the title holders, Indomitable Lions of Cameroon after defeating them 3 – 2 in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Sensational Ighalo declared the Cameroonians post ready for goal by scoring the first goal at 18″ followed by another at the 62″ from same Ighalo before Alex Iwobi concluded at the 65″.
