Nigeria business tycoon, Femi Otedola, has made the Nigeria senior national team, Super Eagles, $25,000 richer.
The business kahuna has ealier promised the Super Eagles $25,000 for each goal on the eve of their semi final encounter with Algeria in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019, according to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Super Eagles hope of making extra thousands of dollars from Otedola was dashed after Riyad Mahrez’s super free kick seconds to the end of stoppage time gave Algerians 2:1 victory in the encounter.
Nigeria Football Federation on Tuesday announced on its Twitter handle that the oil magnat has redeemed his pledge of $25,000.
